Max Zenger Globus

Founded in 2016, the futuristic and rich soundscapes of the music of the Max Zenger Globus Jazz Quintet transport their listeners to sonic mental landscapes where the beauty of the world and its disappearance are always present. Max Zenger's saxophone and Kasperi Sarikoski's trombone play beautifully together and in cross-running melodies. The band's comp section creates its own rhythmic layer, in which keyboardist / pianist Mikael Myrskog participates rhythmically, with his recognizable style.

The Swedish-Finnish Lexingtone, which consists of top musicians influential in Sweden, will make a tour of Finland in the hometown of their pianist, Joona Toivanen. The members of the band have created an international career and recorded e.g. With First Aid Kit, Ariana Grande and Bo Kaspers Orchestra.

In the Kangasala Hall, the nuanced music of the versatile musician-composer Timo Alakotila will be heard on Friday, October 1, 2021. It is performed by the young professional band Sointi Jazz Orchestra. There will be a musical journey by a large orchestra that will hold its grip from the first minutes to the last chord.

Sointi Jazz Orchestra is conducted by its founder and artistic director Rasmus Soini. The concert will feature a multi-part Sinfonia Concertante composed for big band and accordion, with accordionist Kaisa Ristiluoma as soloist. In addition, the band will perform a production composed by Alakotila for the big band and a completely new work commissioned for Sointi Jazz Orchestra.

Grammy-awarded guitar legend Bill Frisell and his trio will perform exclusively at Pori's own pride and joy, the Validi Karkia club, celebrating it's ten-year anniversary. The trio's latest album Valentine on Blue Note was chosen as the best in Beyond Album category by the critics of the DownBeat magazine.
