Superposition
Superposition is an explosive group from Helsinki. Led by drummer Olavi Louhivuori, the quartet features Linda Fredriksson and Adele Sauros on saxes and Mikael Saastamoinen on bass. On their debut album Superposition, the band presents a powerful statement rich in musical ideas and solid in their execution. In may 2020, the album was chosen as the jazz album of the year at the annual Emma Awards gala.

Jussi Lehtonen Quartet
Jussi Lehtonen Quartet is a top ensemble led by the Yrjö Award-winning drummer. In addition to Lehtonen, the quartet is complemented by pianist Holger Marjamaa, double bassist Heikko Remmel and saxophonist Joonatan Rautio. The Connection album, released in September 2020, cemented the quartet as one of the best representatives of its genre in the Nordic countries.

Riitta Paakki Quartet
Pianist Riitta Paakki is one of the most prominent Finnish jazz pianists, whose works exude a mature vision and a bright attitude. In 2019, Paakki received the most prestigious recognition in the Finnish jazz industry, the Yrjö Prize, and she is Finland's first pianist with a doctorate in jazz music.
Riitta Paakki Quartet's jazz-Emma Award nominee Piste combines the northern tones of Paaki's compositions with the band's irresistibly effortless swing. The joy of music that shines from the quartet's playing also captures the listener.

Verneri Pohjola Quartet feat. Pauli Lyytinen
Trumpeter Verneri Pohjola has earned a reputation as one of Europe's most creative and original jazz musicians thanks to his strong sound and rich expression. Over the last twenty years, he has created a unique and recognizable playing style that exudes warmth, serenity, and strong and expressive improvisation.
The evening's concert will feature material from the album “The Dead Don’t Dream” released in 2020. On this album that has gotten a five-star reviews, he combines influences from his previous three releases into a beautiful and nicely constructed whole. Tuomo Prättälä (piano), Mika Kallio (drums) and Eero Tikkanen (bass) play with Pohjola. In addition, the special guest of the evening will be saxophonist Pauli Lyytinen.

Mortality
Mortality is a supergroup consisting of the top names in Finnish jazz, combining the concept art aesthetics of progressive rock with the sound world, harmony and improvisation of jazz. Released in 2019, the debut album Mortality, deals with mortality and the limitations of human life. The theme arose from the composer Tapio Ylinen's own family tragedy. For the album, each member of the band took on one of Ylinen's compositions with the aim of creating a complete work of art under a common theme. Despite their heavy subject matter, the music on the album is delicate, melodic and hopeful.
