Rapper Tommy Lindgren, known from such groups as Don Johnson Big Band and Ricky-Tick Big Band, reveals an entirely new side of himself through his new project Tommy Lindgren Metropolis. With the virtuoso artists guitarist Jarmo Saari, drummer Teppo Mäkynen and percussionist Mamba Assefa by his side, Lindgren takes us to soundscapes that flow effortlessly in the soundscapes of organic hip hop, triphop, jazz and even indie rock. This metropolis is fragmented and yet intimate; full of both loneliness and bonding.

Eero Raittinen, one of the grand old men of Finnish music, joins forces with mod jazz quintet Hustle Fuzz on a tour that celebrates Raittinen's 1970 debut, Eeron Elpee. This unique tour is a smooth continuation of Raittinen and the up-and-coming group's earlier collaborative concerts, and brings the classic rarity disc to the 2010s with a bang.

High-profile concert visits at the jazz department of the Sibelius Academy continue with the arrival of top-notch pianist, composer, arranger and teacher Lars Jansson to work with students. Jansson has worked with many great names in jazz, such as Jan Garbarek, Arild Andersen, Radka Toneff, Steve Swallow, Lew Sollof, Bob Berg, Rune Gustafsson, Ulf Wakenius, Georg Riedel, Rigmor Gustafsson and Goran Fristorp. In 1998, he became the first Professor of Jazz in Denmark in Århus. He received the Danish Grammy prize for his album Hope in 2001, and the Lars Jansson Trio is one of the best-known jazz bands in Scandinavia and Japan. The trio have been together for a long time and have released a dozen discs.
