UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra and Norwegian vocalist Rebekka Bakken will render Tom Waits’ music at Savoy JAZZFest in the beginning of March 2022.
Rebekka Bakken (b. 1970) is a versatile singer-songwriter who toggles between genre boundaries, getting inspiration from the world of jazz, pop, R&B and rock. Bakken’s impressive three-octave vocal range and her jazzy style captivate the listeners with at the same time sensitive and entertaining expression. The conductor is Ed Partyka.

Founded in 2018, Lapua-Uusi-Guinea's compositions and arrangements spice up the pedal of folk dances with curious and sprawling contemporary influences from the sounds of pop music, jazz and the world's different cultures.
The band's debut album, Virittää, was released through Eclipse Music in August 2021.
