Trumpeter Jukka Eskola's latest line-up, Soul Trio, has charmed both listeners and critics with its swing. In addition to Eskola, the band includes Finnish jazz superstars Mikko Helevää (organ) and Teppo Mäkynen (drums).

The second album of the Soul Trio was released in 2019. The new songs feature jagged and soulful jazz music combined with South American rhythms, as well as an even more liberated band that challenges themselves to playing incredible performances. The keywords of the band's music are roots, rhythm and swing, but the trio also strives to impress their listeners with sophisticated dynamics and sometimes even minimalist musical solutions. The music of the Jukka Eskola Soul Trio is swinging contemporary jazz at its best, drawing on the tradition of rough soul and Latin jazz!

M&M is a duo formed by two musicians from Kokkola, Matti Oja and Mikko Pellinen. The ensemble draws its music from jazz and from different styles of rhythm music. The duo has a common history of working in various types of ensembles, orchestras and theater music for more than twenty years. The intimate composition of the duo opens up an opportunity for them to explore their soloistic expression and common musical interests.

Peela consists of some of the finest upcoming jazz musicians in Helsinki, centering around the compositions of guitarist Johannes Granroth.

They draw influences from jazz, funk rock and neo soul to a blend where improvisation, powerful melodies, lush harmony and groovy rhythms play a central role. Their music is mostly instrumental, though at times enhanced by Maja Mannila’s virtuosic singing.

The band was founded in 2016 and along with actively gigging for nearly four years, Peela has released their debut album Layers in 2018, as well as their second album/ep Stepping Stones in 2020. They have managed to catch the attention of acclaimed musicians such as pianist Iiro Rantala, giving them a push in the right direction.

Join in celebrating Torvikopla Big Bands 30 year long journey! Torvikopla is a big band from Tampere, consisting of professional musicians and hobbyists alike. In the past few years they have become known for their arrangements that give a fresh new twist to Finnish music. During the evening the band will play hits all the way from the 90's to today in our signature style. Come and listen how Anssi Kela, Aikakone, Bomfunk MC's sound after getting the Torvikopla treatment. There will certainly be all kinds of jazz!

Joining Torvikopla's thirty-person orchestra on stage are fabulous singers Jari Latva-Teikari and from this season of The Voice of Finland, Matleena Junttanen!
