The Estonian composer Veljo Tormis (1930-2017) was one of the most significant European composers of choral music in the 20th century. The majority of his production is based on old Estonian folk songs.

In honor of Tormis 85th anniversary, Jazzkaar Festival commissioned a concert from singer Kadri Voorand and guitarist Jaak Sooäär to perform Tormis' music in a jazz context, with singer Liisi Koikson and guitarist Paul Daniel joining the ranks. After a successful debut, four musicians decided to continue as a band and have since performed at major folk and jazz festivals in Estonia and around the world.

In this strongly visual concert, Alyona Movko joins as the fifth member of the band, whose wonderful videos bring their own unique level to music.

Atte Aho is a Helsinki-based guitarist who is already a true multi-expert with his instrument. With his band, Aho performs guitar-driven instrumental music.
