Since its birth, the jazz trio Sir Garrison has been looking for a voice they could call their own. “Number three has power,” says bassist Nathan Francis. “As we play, everyone supports each other, creating a very personal and perceptible conversation between the band members. Our music is a reflection of respect for nature and each other.”

The power of the trio can be seen in their debut album, which was recorded on the remote island of Konnevesi. “We decided to record the album in a remote place by the nature to free our voices from the hustle and bustle of the city. We wanted to produce a completely acoustic sound that was as human and natural as possible. ” says drummer Okko Saastamoinen. Sir Garrison’s music is composed by the members of the band, most of which have been composed by saxophonist Sami Leponiemi. “Sir Garrison combines the unique playing styles of us all. Everyone respects each other’s ideas, and in this way individuals complement each other, producing an intimate, honest and captivating collective sound.”

Versatile guitar talent Ossi Maristo released his long-awaited debut album in the fall of 2021. The band, sailing between the style waves of instrumental prog and fusion jazz, has made a strong debut straight to the top of their genre.

Atte Aho is a Helsinki-based guitarist who is already a true multi-expert with his instrument. With his band, Aho performs guitar-driven instrumental music.
