The May jams of the Greyhound Jazzband glow with sunny Brazil!

The Girl From Ipanema concert takes listeners into the moods of longing and intoxication of Brazilian music for the 1960s. Skillful Finnish versions of previously untranslated Brazilian hits can now be heard with lyrics from Terttu Rautiainen. The duo formed by Tuula Krzywack and guitarist Petri Krzywack wants to respect the original compositions, which is why the Portuguese language is by no means forgotten.

The jazz club will receive violinist Antti Heerman as a soloist guest in May. Heerman, who has been awarded Jazz Bar's first-ever title of Musician of the Year, can now be heard in his old hometown as an interpreter of traditional jazz!

Guitarist Martin Söderbacka and bass player Eevalotta Matikainen perform atmospheric and multifaceted music that strongly lives in the moment. The duo composes own music and arranges well known pieces, utilizing effects and the diversity of sounds from their instruments. Strong melodies and fresh arrangements lure listeners to stop and enjoy the music.

The night's repertoire consists of original music and jazz classics in both instrumental and vocal versions.
