On the final day of Savoy JAZZFest on 6 March, the Savoy stage is reserved for Christian McBride, one of the most esteemed bassists in the world, and his band Inside Straight.
The quintet plays classically straightforward and powerfully groovy jazz and published the live album Live at the Village Vanguard in 2021. The group is now, after its hiatus that followed the publication of its album People Music in 2013, making its comeback to the stage.
Saxophonist Steve Wilson, vibraphonist Warren Wolf, pianist Peter Martin and drummer Carl Allen play in the group with McBride.
Duration is about 1.5 h, no interval.
The age limit for the seats in the stalls is 18 years old. The balcony is open for people of all ages.
