Jyväskylä Art Museum will be enjoying the culmination of saxophone playing in a form of Esa Pietilä's solo concert. Pietilä's master class technicality and groundbreaking sound full of rich tonalities and textures will put the listener on an emotionally strong journey.

Esa Pietiläs's style mixes in a creative way lots of genres of music all the way from jazz to modern music. A brave improviser and musical visionary like to perform as a solo act, part of his own jazz ensembles as well as a soloist for a larger orchestra. Pietilä has been rewarded with the Finlands Jazz unions Yrjö-trophy in 2016.

Jyväskylä Art Museum's vivid concert will be packed with Pietilä's own compositions as well as music from J. S. Bach and psalm-improvisation.
