Klang

Seppo Kantonen and the Klang trio (Kantonen, Krokfors & Ounaskari) serves multi-dimensional, versatile and open-minded jazz. The trio was founded as early as 1997 and has now reactivated and made an excellent radio recording for the Jazzklubi this spring. The trio presents “musical remarks,” which are more or less intertwined musical aphorisms. The end result is a jazz experience of three Finnish stars!

Seppo has previously stated that Klang has e.g. the following:

Equality, fraternity, freedom “This is mine, bassist Uffe Krokfors´ and drummer Markku Ounaskari’s Klang, not Seppo Kantonen Trio. This is our sandbox where we like to play with friends. This was a band before any sounds were played. Such a small band really requires human chemistry to work. Improvised music requires a pleasant environment where everyone is equal.”
