The Sibis Jazz Students – The Concluding Concert of Carmen Lundy’s Master Class

The first part of the evening presents the repertoire of Carmen Lundy’s Master Class. For three days, the Academy jazz students will have been tutored by Carmen Lundy, and the class will be concluded with the repertoire prepared by the students.

Carmen Lundy (USA)

Jazz singer, arranger and composer Carmen Lundy is present as a guest of the Sibelius Academy Master Class and International Jazz Singing Conference. The concert repertoire includes Lundy’s compositions from her new album Soul to Soul. In the course of her long career, Carmen Lundy has recorded 14 solo albums that comprise both jazz classics and her own compositions. The critically acclaimed artist has also starred in leading roles of such Broadway musicals as Sophisticated Ladies and They Were All Gardenias. Lundy will come to Helsinki accompanied by her own ensemble.
