The traditional lunch concert presented by UMO, Savoy Theater and Presto features UMO Jazz Orchestra’s renditions of blues in its different forms. The 16-piece orchestra concentrates on the narration, intonation and mood of blues, which have always been essential parts of jazz music. UMO takes it from the boogie of jump-blues, all the way to delicate blue moods of misery in a programme, which consists of music from composers like Duke Ellington to Kari Heinilä.
Jouni Järvelä leads the orchestra. Duration: 60 minutes, no intermission. Lunch is served at Presto bth before and after the concert, from 11-12 and 13-14. FREE ENTRY!
