The Sibelius Academy jazz programme celebrates its 30th anniversary this autumn. The anniversary jam is an inherent part of the autumn jazz programme. The event is hosted by the powerful septet Robson-Uotila-Kannaste-Perkiömäki-Helevä-Linna-Lehtonen. During the evening several jazz alumni come on stage to jam. The jam session also includes the release of the anniversary recording of the jazz programme. The album is a sequel to the Sounds of Snow and the Play Modes promotional albums. The new anniversary album is included in the price of the ticket and will be distributed at the event.

The Finnish-Swedish quintet was formed in 2009 when the leader, guitarist Paukku moved form Jyväskylä to Stockholm. Paukku’s Scandinavian jazz explores darker and lighter shades and aims to be approachable, yet maintain the quality of his art on the highest level.

PLOP release per se on vinyl-LP. Per se is a follow-up to PLOP's 2009 debut-CD an sich. PLOP are celebrating the event by playing a string of five concerts in Finland in September. PLOP are Ville Herrala (bass), Mikko Innanen (sax) and Joonas Riippa(drums).
