Jazz Finland Live

The program is inspired by the music of Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley, recorded originally in 1961. Arranger Erno Tiittanen has created a fresh interpretation with new flavours - cool rhythmic grooves, intensity of tones and when the band plays tutti – they really get wings and fly.

Vocalist Reija Lang , the winner of “Lady Summertime” vocal jazz contest 2002, has a beautiful and deep alto sound and her intensitity and stage charisma are in their own class in Finnish jazz. The evening is also featuring special guest – Riku Niemi on vibraphone. He will show his sovereign virtuoso skills in jazz improvisation. Arricone Big Band is a brand new collaboration amongst the top Finnish jazz musicians, led by arranger and conductor Erno Tiittanen.
