Guitarist Chico Pinheiro was nominated for a Grammy in The Best Latin Jazz Album category with his release of City Of Dreams. Pinheiro’s wild live vibe can be witnessed as many as two nights in early June.

The gorgeous singer Jenny Robson will perform as a special guest at the Friday night's concert with Chico.

At Koo Jazz Club, Pinheiro will perform with his Finnish colleagues. Jussi Lehtonen can be heard on the drums, Timo Hirvonen on the bass and the wonderful Jukkis Uotila behind the piano.

Soul Trio is the new ensemble of Jukka Eskola, one of Finland's most sought-after jazz musicians. In addition to Eskola, the Soul Trio consists of organist Mikko Helevä and drummer Teppo Mäkynen.

Teatteri Toivo in Hermann, Helsinki, will begin hosting live music starting on Friday, June 3, 2022, when Uusi Jazzi Klubi, or UJK, will take over the stage in the form of a record release party.

The band promises an improvised trip of three sets, which mixes e.g. jazz, funk and a lot of different moods and influences from the musical traditions of different cultures. In addition to music, the public is also offered quality food and a bar.

Timo Lassy ranks among the brightest jazz stars in Finland. His latest group Timo Lassy Trio (together with bass player Ville Herrala and drummer Jaska Lukkarinen) released its debut in 2021. The album received five stars in Helsingin Sanomat, as well as appraisal from such international medias as Downbeat, Jazzwise and Der Spiegel.

Columbia Icefield is the name of trumpeter Nate Wooley's latest album and also the quartet behind it. Explorations of nature and humanity are portrayed and reflected through the largest icefield in the Rocky Mountains, which also gave the project its name. The music of the quartet is electrically spiced free jazz with a sense of serenity and a strong dose of personality.
