Kerava Jazz festival's main concert serves a set of three top jazz ensembles: MiKallEero, Mikko Innanen Quartet and Raoul Björkenheim Quintet.

MiKallEero: Mika Kallio, Kalle Kalima and Eero Hämeenniemi improvise freely on their own and others' themes, some of which have been found in India, baroque music and jazz.

Mikko Innanen Quartet; Saxophonist Mikko Innanen will team up with Junnu Aaltonen's band acquaintances, drummer Reiska Laine and bassist Uffe Krokfors in a special project for Kerava Jazz. The youngest member of the project, Aki Rissanen, has proved in his own bands that he is one of the top European jazz pianists. Working with an creative saxophonist, a top pianist and an experienced pair at the rhythm section will inevitably create music that lives on!

Raoul Björkenheim Quintet; Raoul Björkenheim and Junnu Aaltonen have been collaborating as a duo for a long time. We have enjoyed their improvisations e.g. in the great concerts of Helsinki Jazz. Drummer Tatu Rönkkö has also played as a duo with Björkenheim. Rönkkö is especially remembered for the excellent first phase of the Elifantree band’s life cycle. In Kerava Jazz, the duos find their completed form as a quintet, when they are joined by bassist Antti Lötjönen and trumpet player Tomi Nikku. The band presents the surreal series "Always but never" composed by Raoul Björkenheim.
