DDT Jazzband turns 60 years!

The anniversary concerts are held at the Aleksander Theatre  at 13th of October at 2pm and 7pm. The concerts feature favourites of the orchestra but also resent material. The soloist of the concerts are luminous Annimaria Rinne (voc),  Joonatan Rautio (ts) and Antti Sarpila (cl, ts).

DDT Jazzband is the most prominent jazz orchestra in Finland performing traditional jazz music. Its musical roots are from 1910's New Orleans to 1950's. The orchestra's versatile repertoire consists of music from genres such as Dixieland music, Chicago Jazz ja Swing and its strong paragons are Louis Armstrong, Dutch Swing College Band (the original one), Jelly Roll Morton,Eddie Condon and Duke Ellington among others.
