Jazz Finland Live

This autumn Svart Records and Tenho Restobar co-organise a monthly club series featuring Svart signees. On 9 November the stage will be taken by one of the most legendary of Finnish jazz artists, Eero Koivistoinen, and we will be in for brand new material from the saxophonist's upcoming album, Illusion. 

Svart Records opens a pop-up show before the live show, and DJ John Wayne will be playing Svart and other records at the event.

Hungarian, today Finland-based composer pianist Lázlo Süle hosts a concert at Hungarian Cultural and Scientific Centre. In this edition of Süle's concert series he is joined by guitarist Mikko Iivanainen. The duo performs music that Süle has composed specifically for the occasion. 

Mikko Iivanainen is a long-standing Finnish guitarist, known especially from trio Nordic Trinity and the duo that he forms with his wife, singer Johanna Iivanainen. Lázlo Süle removed to Finland in 1989 and has ever since worked as a teacher and freelance musician. He has released a number of recordings, some of which classical, some jazz.

Ruokangas Hako-Rita is an Oulu-based Finnish jazz guitar duo. Started in 2012, the duo now hits the road on ther tour Monologues & Dialogues, performing both originals and jazz standards; together and separately. Some of the material is from Ruokangas's second solo album, Monologues (2017). 

Be prepared for a range of moods from tender and melodic to violent experimentalism!

One of Finland’s best known jazz artists Timo Lassy celebrates 10 years of solo career and with his band this year. Known for his charismatic live appearance Lassy and his band have an unmistakable swing and interaction between the musicians.
