Jazz Finland Live

Jazz society Riverside Jazz celebrates its 25th anniversary in autumn 2014. Sid Hille Contemporary Collective performs at the anniversary concert at Musiikkitalo, Tornio.

Pianist-composer describes their music as follows: "There is no wall between jazz and contemporary music but a crack, an open space, which activates the imagination and enables spontaneous creation. This applies to the composer and the artist alike. When the musician improvises, on his own or as part of an ensemble, he follows the map, the structure created by the composer, making decisions in a fraction of a second."

Jazz, improvisation and contemporary music meet on a no-man's land in this concert.
