Swiss vocalist and vocal acrobat Andreas Schaerer and Finnish guitarist Kalle Kalima are both internationally recognized, distinctive artists in the field of jazz. They have collaborated for years, including in the A Novel Of Anomaly quartet. Now, on their new album Evolution, we get to hear new facets of them. Evolution features jazz ballads written by Andreas Schaerer, Kalle Kalima, and Essi Kalima, exploring even personal experiences and thoughts. Schaerer, known for his acrobatic use of voice, now reveals an even more melodic side, and alongside Kalle Kalima's incredible technical prowess, we hear deep emotion, all while not forgetting the musical complexity and catchiness characteristic of both Schaerer and Kalima.
