Saturday 11.11. presents a rare treat to true fans of guitar music & guitar jazz when Mathias Sandberg sails to harbour town Hamina! At Tervasaari (also known from the YLE’s TV-show Vintage Valtakunta) the crowd will hear some true jazz by a world class performer with his flaming trio!

Tuomas Paukku Scription, representing a strong and distinctive vision in Finnish contemporary jazz, is releasing its second album and touring Finland's jazz arenas in November.

Tuomas Paukku Scription's style is rooted in modern jazz impressionism and post-bop, continually discovering new nuances and perspectives even on the outer fringes of jazz expression. The quartet, led by the guitarist from Jyväskylä, is composed of carefully selected top musicians and elegantly interprets Tuomas Paukku's compositions, richly and vivaciously reflecting the guitarist's open-minded interest in music. Scription's music, with its majestic Scandinavian atmospheres and gripping moods, has touched listeners across genre boundaries.

Tomi Salesvuo East Funk Attack celebrates with Lappeenranta Big Band! Premiere arrangements performed by two bands, soloist singer Taru Ratilainen.

Musician Tomi Salesvuo ends his 50th anniversary year in a special concert with his East Funk Attack together with Lappeenranta Big Band. A unique combination of rock and jazz music will be performed by two groups together in the event. Salesvuo's compositions has been arranged for concert by e.g. Marzi Nyman, Mikko Hassinen, Jussi Lampela, Martin Granum (DK) and Johannes Salomaa. The program is produced for the evening from all three studio albums of the band. As usual, Taru Ratilainen acts as the vocalist.

There's no shortage of swing when our country's most legendary folk music group JPP joins forces with the jazz musician and vibraphonist Panu Savolainen!

The repertoire, which combines jazz improvisation and the Kaustinen violin playing tradition, consists of Panu Savolainen's more recent compositions, JPP's classic pieces as well as its Charlie Parker repertoire, originally implemented in 2020. The new album by Panu Savolainen & JPP will be released in October 2023.
