Klo 19.00 - Tuomas Paukku Scription
Founded in 2016, Tuomas Paukku's Scription represents a distinctive and strong vision in Finnish contemporary jazz. Releasing their second album in 2023, the ensemble interprets guitarist Tuomas Paukku's uniquely intense and atmospheric music with impressive dedication.
Scription's style is rooted in modern jazz impressionism and post-bop, yet constantly discovers new nuances and perspectives from the outer edges of jazz expression. Paukku's open-minded interest in various musical genres is vividly and energetically evident. The grand Scandinavian atmospheres and intriguingly evolving moods in Scription's music have captivated listeners across genre boundaries.

The musicians of each country have played with each other in several different bands or contexts, but what happens when you meet musicians in different combinations with whom you have not played before. Come listen to interesting meetings of top musicians and enjoy ensemble playing in a quiet and acoustic environment!
There are several different ensembles on both days, and everyone plays together at the end. The concerts have an Intermission and the concerts last about two hours.
Marthe Lea
Marthe Lea has already visited Finland twice with her band, in which Andreas Røysum also plays. Marthe's playing shows many influences from the traditions of free jazz to the folk musicians of different countries. Her powerful and energetic tenor playing leaves no one cold.
Andreas Røysum
Andreas Røysum's clarinet playing is liberated, energetic and fascinating, and he also draws from many different musical sources. Andreas Ensemble has released three recordings praised by reviewers.
Elsa Bergman
Elsa Bergman's expressive and liberated bass playing has convinced many Swedish bands, such as Anna Högberg's Attack, which visited Finland few years ago, and the trio that performed at the jaZZanti concert last year together with pianist Lisa Ullén and drummer Anna Lund. Her most recent album, Playon Crayon, in which David Stackenäs also plays, has received excellent reviews.
David Stackenäs
David Stackenäs has developed a personal playing style, especially on the acoustic guitar, which he will also play at the event. He has recorded extensively with various musicians and was last heard in Finland at Kerava Jazz in Elin Forkelid's band.
Veli Kujala
Veli Kujala is a manifest master of the accordion and his musical breadth is unique, from significant contemporary music compositions and performances to central European free improvisation.
Teemu Mustonen
Teemu Mustonen has emerged as a significant percussion artist who is no stranger to different musical contexts, from psychedelic pop and jazz to free improvisations.
