Multi-time award-winning Canadian singer-composer-pianist as well as a CBC radio host Laila Biali is a master of combining different genres. She picks spices from rock, pop and soul, combining the elements into her own elaborate and distinctive jazz sound. This has paid off, and Laila's music has been performed on major stages around the world. In 2020, Laila was honored with the Canadian Hagood Hardy Award for Excellence in Songwriting Composer Award.

Laila's latest recording bearing her own name won the JUNO Award (Canadian Grammy) for Best Vocal Jazz Album of the Year. Along with her own music, she has toured the world with e.g. with Suzanne Vega, Chris Botti and Paula Cole, as well as recorded and acted as a warm-up artist on Sting's tour. The Washington Post describes Laila's music as: "she masterfully mixes jazz and pop, bringing virtuoism and unpredictability to songs that are concise and catchy".

Laila's trio is completed by basist Georg Koller and Finnish top drummer Jaska Lukkarinen.
