Polish mysticism, the echoes of Norwegian fjords and Finnish romanticism. Case Kämäräinen, who draws their music from these starting points, will tour in Finland in September performing their new album, Mystique From The North.

Case Kämäräinen is an international jazz quartet that presents the music of drummer Tomi Kämäräinen. Kämäräinen was last heard on tour in the United States with artist Janet Evra in the autumn of 2021. The melodies of Kämäräinen's compositions are interpreted by e.g. Kathrine Windfeld Sextet and Tim Hagans Quintet and well-known saxophonist Marek Konarski. The piano features virtuoso improviser Tuomo Uusitalo, who plays the traditions of jazz and the influences of free improvisation. Petter Asbjørnsen is familiar with several solo productions with double bass.

The music for the new album Mystique From The North (Eclipse Music) is composed mostly with vibraphone. That's why Severi Pyysalo is a wonderful addition to the concert.

"Very pleasant jazz, especially thanks to the smooth and colorful playing of the quartet's key soloist, saxophonist Konarski." -Erik Ahonen / Kulttuuritoimitus.fi

"With their latest album Joyride 2021, Case Kämäräinen solves the key dilemmas of contemporary jazz: how it sounds modern while maintaining a connection to the jazz tradition, how to compose ambitiously without sounding difficult to approach" Tommi Autio / Salon Seudun Sanomat, album review
