Alice Francis has become a star in a short time with her 30s-influenced music that mixes elements of jazz and hip hop with electronic pop. She has garnered comparisons to the likes of Alicia Keys, Macy Gray and Erykah Badu and her music videos have been watched millions of times on YouTube. Francis lists Josephine Baker, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald as her most important influences and, indeed, with her style and wide vocal range, she can be regarded as a modern reincarnation of these legendary stars.
In addition to the leading lady, the group is composed of German producer Mr. Goldielocks and Korean keyboardist Sir Chul-Min Yoo. At the Savoy Theatre they will also be joined by a bassist and a drummer. A part of their album launch tour, this will be their first show in Finland.
