LOUISE D. E. JENSEN (DK/USA)
Danish-American saxophonist, vocalist and composer Louise Dam Eckardt Jensen is equally as much at home in New York's claustrophobic city life as she is in the countryside of Southern Denmark. This duality plays a major role in her music, which ranges from atmospheric melodic meanderings to fierce noise experimentialism.
DOMINIK SCHLIENGER (SUI)
Originally from Switzerland, Dominik Schlienger is a composer and researcher. In this concert, we will be hearing his composition for solo viola, which utilisises loopers, efect pedals and unusual tuning.
MATTI LUOKKANEN & JAAKKO TOLVI
Stage debut from Finnish avant-garde musicians, saxophonist Matti Luokkanen and drumme Jaakko Tolvi.

Haling from Hämeenlinna, Finland, The Blassics is a seven-piece band, which was founded by a production duo of the same name. The Blassics champions the raw sound of funk.
On their records, the Blassics aims at capturing the explosive nature of their celebrated hypnotic live performances and highlighting the highly evolved musical communication between the band members. The Blassics’ sound is akin to rough original funk seven inches with elements from afrobeat thrown in for good measure. However, the band does not settle for recycling the genre’s clichés but goes for a new sound of their own instead. Art is never standard, it tirelessly pushes towards unexplored directions.
The Blassics‘ core duo draws their inspiration from record collecting and deejaying. They are committed to creating a sound which is warm and crisp, and which could work also on the decks at DJ gigs. Therefore it is very natural that the albums by The Blassics are 100% analogue.
This the release gig for their third album.
