Jazz Finland Live

The concert is a tribute to the music of Juice Leskinen, a humane person’s perspective on behalf of people who need other people.

UMO’s concert features Jonna Tervomaa, Anna Puu, Aino Venna, Jimi Tenor, Jarkko Martikainen and Paleface, all among Finland’s foremost artists, tackling Juice’s classic songs in radical, surprising, funny and exciting new guises. How does Jarkko Martikainen interpreting Musta aurinko nousee with a large orchestra sound – and which classic will Paleface end up with?

Aiyekooto & Afrobeat International perform at Storyville's Afrojazz Club!

Led by Nigerian composer, lyricist and vocalist Babatunde Akerele, Aiyekooto & Afrobeat International is an afrobeat powerball, composed of top-class Finnish musicians. Winner of the title of the Band of the Year at the Funky Awards gala, they released their first album, Olurombi, in 2013, and have collaborated with the Afrobeat legend, Tony Allen. They are currently recording their sophomore. 

DJ Borzin, of club series Balkan Fever, wields the DJ decks tonight.
