Jazz Finland Live

Elena & The Rom Ensemble is a quintet led by Romanian born jazz vocalist Elena Mindru. Founded in 2013 and established in a short period of time in the Finnish jazz scene, the group mainly performs compositions penned by their leader, Mindru, and arranged by their pianist Tuomas J. Turunen. Their distinctive style of jazz seasoned with ample references to traditional Romanian folk music, unusual instrumentation and Mindru's dazzling vocalism have proved a winning combination with the audience.
