German pianist Volker Bertelmann, alias Hauschka, is a composer, songwriter and experimental artist whose has with his prepared piano and preference for electornic effects, introduced something completely new into the sphere of jazz music. In Hauschka's hands neo-Classicism and dance beats meld together and vanish into the oceanic waves of contemporary music. He will end his concert by duetting with Iiro Rantala.
In the same concert performs Austrian David Helbock, a last-minute discovery of Iiro Rantala's. Hellbock’s pianism is bursts with energy and joy, and his bold, even slightly sassy, attitude towards the formalities of jazz is refreshing, in its candidness and outspokenness.
The concert is hosted by Iiro Rantala.

Jazzliiton kiertueella/On FJF Tour: Joona Toivanen Solo & Kallio Slaaki,Kuopion konservatorio, kuopio14.11. At 20:00

Pianist Joona Toivanen and drummer combo Kallio Slaaki go on a Jazz Federation tour together this week. The tour extends to eight concert venues across the country.
Joona Toivanen, solo piano
Joona Toivanen released his first solo piano album 'Polarities' on the Swedish Footprint Records in late 2013. On the album, Toivanen explores new ground by studying the possibilities of the piano as an instrument. The release concert for Polarities took place at the Savoy Theatre in Helsinki on December 14 at the inaugural festival event We Jazz 2013. In November 2014 the solo project is heard live on the Finnish Jazz Federation tour.
On Polarities, Toivanen not only uses the traditional sonic landscape of the grand and upright piano, but also stretches the sound by the use of prepared piano and adding multiple layers into the music.

”Rising Star” – Down Beat, USA
”One of Europe’s sharpest bands” – The Sunday Times, UK
It is hard to find a group that has headlined as different festivals as April Jazz, Helsinki Festival, Tampere Jazz Happening, Flow Festival and Ruisrock. This is the key of Timo Lassy Band's success; they have found a way to appeal to other audiences in addition to hard-core jazz enthusiasts as well.
Built on catchy riffs, complelling swing and a truckload of energy their live shows have convinced crowds outside Finland, too. In recent years the group has performed regularly at some of Europe's top clubs, such as A-Trane in Berlin, Blue Note in Milan, North Sea in Amsterdam and A38 in Budapest. Among this year's highlights was a tour in Indonesia.
Last time when Timo Lassy was seen at the TTT Club he played to a full house with trumpeter Verneri Pohjola. Now Lassy returns with his own band to charm the audience once again.
