One of the world’s top Afrobeat musicians and singers, Seun Kuti (Nigeria), performs on a very rare and intimate club concert in Salo, in Musine! Seun Kuti brings along to the stage an orchestra of nine top musicians.

Seun Kuti and Egypt 80 have previously performed in Finland at the Flow Festival and Pori Jazz. This year they will headline at the World Village Festival in Helsinki. Afrobeat fuses West-African sounds and the American funk, jazz and soul into complex rhythms and percussions.

Seun Kuti is the youngest son of Afrobeat pioneer and legend Fela Kuti. He has spent most of his life preserving and extending his father's political and musical legacy as the leader of his father's former band Egypt 80. As a developing saxophonist and percussionist, he entered the formal ranks of the band before he was 12. From the time he was 18, he pursued music full-time.

Kuti's debut recording, Seun Kuti & Fela's Egypt 80, was released in 2008 (WM Recordings). His album From Africa With Fury: Rise (Knitting Factory Records, 2011) hit the lists both on the Billboard and on international digital platforms. Their album Black Times (Strut Records, 2018) was a nominated for the Grammys in 2019.
