The four-person Oaagaada is a breath of fresh air in the field of domestic jazz. The performances of the group, which strongly bows to the traditions of free jazz, boldly rely on the moment of playing. They can play their compositions almost as a whisper or with a proper lead. The band's abundant and collective sound world contains joys and sorrows in the same sentence. It's 100% live music.

Darin Gray (US) focuses on the essential in his music. Through the handling of his double or electric bass, Gray makes the question of the roles of composition or improvisation in his performances pointless. It becomes clear to the listener very soon that it is only about Darin Gray's music beyond useless category definitions. His humble approach and exceptionally strong intensity have taken the man around the world for years with his solo performances and various projects. Gray has worked for years e.g. indie band with guitarist Jim O'Rourke, also known from the ranks of Sonic Youth, and Wilco's Glenn Kotche. The number of recordings and concerts of the prolific bassist is staggering. Gray is definitely one of the most significant names in improvised and experimental music.
