As a part of Music nova Helsinki 2017 Festival, UMO Jazz Orchestra and the soloist Kari Ikonen bring Antti Auvinen’s new composition to the middle of everyday routines of downtown Helsinki, the shopping centre Kamppi, to three free concerts.

Tim Hagans & Finnish Friends
American trumpeter Tim Hagans fronts a bunch of Finnish colleagues in this mid-wintry concert at Koko. Through his long-term position as the conductor of Swedish Norrbotten Big Band Hagans has been able to keep close tabs of the Scandinavian jazz scene. His recent shows with Ravi Coltrane have attracted attention around the world.
At this concert, Hagans joins the electric and electrifying trio of bassist Timo Hirvonen, drummer Jussi Lehtonen and pianist Jukkis Uotila - an old friend and trusted partner in music. The programme consists of the members' original compositions.
