Jazz Finland Live

The well-known trio ensemble of pianist Aki Rissanen, bassist Antti Lötjönen and drummer Teppo Mäkynen will perform in the framework of their new Amorandom concept with visualisation artist Petri Ruikka.

Amorandom is a short film directed by Tuula Leinonen and Antti Peränne, completed in 2012. Amorandom remains Peränne's last film, a pioneer of Finnish animation. The film tells the story of the meeting of two people, reflecting the capriciousness of life and the possibility of fate. Roughly eight minutes long, Amorandom is shown before the concert. After the animated film, the jazz trio and video artists deconstruct the film into tiny pieces and use them to build a different, alternative world. This way, the film takes on a life of its own in interaction with the group and audience. Musically, Rissanen and the trio also visit the world of his new album, Aleatoric.
