This concert features UMO Jazz Orchestra’s renditions of blues in its different forms. The 16-piece orchestra concentrates on the narration, intonation and mood of blues, which have always been essential parts of jazz music. UMO takes it from the boogie of jump-blues, all the way to delicate blue moods of misery in a programme, which consists of music from composers like Duke Ellington to Kari ”Sonny” Heinilä. The orchestra is led by saxophonist Jouni Järvelä.

Tickets available at Lippupalvelu from 18,50 € / 16,50 € (Normal 16 €, pensioners, unemployed, students and children 14 € + service fee from 2,50 €). This concert lasts 45 minutes without an interval.

Fusiotherapy is a fusion group from Helsinki, Finland. The band started as a brainchild of drummer Kalle Miettinen and bass player Timo Tuppurainen. They had some compositions of their own and wanted to start a "therapy" group. They quickly recruited keyboardist Antti Utriainen, and the group was completed when guitarist Jussi Kontinen agreed to make the fourth member. Rehearsals were started in early 2012, and things moved rapidly to the point where band was ready to record it's first album in July 2012. The recording, entitled1st session, was released in early 2013.

D-Booster, founded in 2013, draws their inspiration from the 1970s and 1980s strain of groove jazz, with such giants as Dave Sanborn, Stuff, Freddie Hubbard, Herbie Hancock and George Benson as their apostles. The group is composed of three veteran jazzers, Jari Perkiömäki, Jarno Kukkonen and Markus Ketola -  the first holders of a PhD in jazz music in Finland in the respective order - and younger lions Jussi Fredriksson and Juho Kivivuori.

The group relesed their debut D-isco in December 2013 on CURecords label.
