Kasperi Sarikoski is the brightest star among Finland's young generation jazz trombonists. No wonder, thus, that he has established himself convincingly despite his young age, proving himself in such stellar outfits as Ricky-Tick Big Band and Teddy's West Coasters. His own group, Nuance, is a quintet brimming with expressive force and original vision and unafraid of mixing popular genres with jazz.

Turku-based composer-arranger Vellu Halkosalmi has tailored a unique Tarantino-themed concert for the local top big band Turku Jazz Orchestra and guitar virtuoso Teemu Viinikainen. A strong emphasis will be given to Tarantino's three musical trademarks, all of which can be traced back to the 1960s: instrumental surf, soul and composer Ennio Morricone.
The acclaimed guitarist will be backed by 17 Turku-based professional jazz musicians who have experience in performing with the likes of Iiro Rantala, Jukka Perko, Severi Pyysalo and Aili Ikonen.
