Jazz Finland Live

Starting from 1 September, Töölö’s Bar Favela will be turned into a jazz club again. The Tiistaijatsit (Tuesday Jazz) club series is hosted by Mikko Innanen who has invited a number of friends – Finnish and international – to take the stage with him on the first Tuesday of each month.

This time Innanen has called together four different groups to perform at the venue, situated in Mechelininkatu, in the heart of the neighbourhood of Töölö. In addition to the host himself, the concerts feature such household names of Finnish jazz as drummer Reiska Laine, bassists Uffe Krokfors and Eero Tikkanen, trumpeter Verneri Pohjola and pianist Aki Rissanen. Two international guests will also appear on stage: Swiss drummer David Meier and Lithuanian sax player Liudas Mockūnas.

Tiistaijatsit (Tuesday Jazz) club takes place at Bar Favela on the first Tuesday of the month from September to December.
