Jussi Fredriksson Trio

Released in October 2014, Jussi Fredriksson Trio’s mysteriously named album, ”?”, explores the empowering aspects of uncertainty and counts on warm and cosy living-room sound. The trio performs effortless, balanced and timeless contemporary jazz and their line-up is firmly in keeping with their style: straight-ahead and no gimmicks, three exceptional instrumentalists are quite enough here.

1+2+3+5=4 could be called a dramatic experience rather than a jazz group. This package is composed of three outfits, whose albums are due out on Ilma Records in autumn 2015 as a 3-disc box set: Joonas Riippa’s solo/trio project; duo F60.8 formed by Mikko Innanen and Pekka Tuppurainen and quintet Röd/Blå (Magnus Broo, Aki Rissanen, Innanen, Riippa and Tuppurainen). The number one in the equation is pianist Aki Rissanen who performs solo at this gig.
