Helsinki based Laura Annika Quartet was founded 2013 and released just recently a debut EP called Le Lac. Laura Annika Quartet, whose live performances has been acclaimed, has been performing earlier in Helsinki's jazz clubs, e.g. in Rytmihäiriö Club.
LAQ's music is composed by vocalist Annika Mustonen and pianist Aleksis Liukko and songs lead the audience through peaceful melodies in the middle of the rhythm storm. Music is based on a modern jazz aesthetic, but there is also influences of modal jazz, blues, singer-songwriter music and Brazilian rhythms.
