Jazz Finland Live

The Switzerland-based VEIN Trio has established an enviable reputation among jazz audiences for both stylistic diversity and technical accomplishment, blending the complexity of European classical chamber music with the thrills and energy of jazz improvisation at its most sophisticated. VEIN Trio is “one of Europe’s most exciting ensembles”, according to John Fordham, of The Guardian. In addition to touring globally and actively releasing new music, trio has gained recognition for long-term collaborations with several star veteran soloists. VEIN Trio consists of Arbenz brothers, pianist Michael and drummer Florian, as well as bassist Thomas Lähns. All three musicians are classically trained, and musical leadership is equally shared, creating a fluid, cosmopolitan sound. The group perform their own compositions and adaptations of both classical and jazz traditions.
