Vapaat äänet ("Free Voices & Sounds") offers yet another quality edition of topical improvisational music from France. Opening up the evening is the famed guitarist Marc Ducret, who will perform his new solo project based on the material of his groups Métatonal and Morse. After that, the Machado Ithursarry Duo invites its listeners to an emotional poetic and sharing journey around conniving piano and accordion. The duo will perform music from their new release "Lua".

Ikonostasis is a series of musical images by pianist Kari Ikonen  for Moog synthesizer. Both composed and improvised, these pieces can be performed solo or with an ensemble; and for this concert, Ikonen has invited two trusted colleagues, reedsman Joakim Berghäll and drummer Mika Kallio, to join him on stage. The show is a part of Ikonen's Ikonostasis album launch tour.
