Eclipse Jazz Club makes an entrée onto Finland’s jazz scene by presenting three concerts in the autumn season at Tampereen Ylioppilasteatteri, known as a home for numerous stand-up clubs and high-quality amateur theatre. Kimmo Oksanen of the Tampere-based production company, Tuotantomajakka Oy, will be in charge of sound engineering and lighting, while the manager of Eclipse Music, Tapio Ylinen, will be the artistic director of the club series.

The opening concert sees Pauli Lyytinen Magnetia Orkesteri and quartet Ajaton take to the stage. 

Pauli Lyytinen Magnetia Orkesteri limelights the stunning soloists: the eponymous saxophonist and trumpeter Verneri Pohjola.

The fearless quartet Ajaton combines jazz, baroque music and folk to an astonishing, effect. Led by Mia Simanainen, they will also celebrate their debut album, Elixir, at the club.
