Jazz Finland Live

Fifth Avenue is a five-piece that draws their influences from the modern jazz sound of New York City. Their music is composed by the three founding members Tuomas J. Turunen, Olli Hirvonen and Ville Vannemaa. Fifth Avenue aim at building on the classic tradition of jazz and seasoning it with original melodic and harmonic ideas and meters; while theme-wise they draw from the everyday life -- especially that of New York City where all the members have visited and where Hirvonen currently resides.

The group has gigged actively from the start, playing live at Finnish jazz festivals and clubs and visiting Stockholm in autumn 2015. In spring 2015 the group released their debut Tales to great acclaim.
