Hietsun Paviljonki serves spring treats on Monday, May 20th, when the American underground legend Lydia Lunch and her band arrive at Hietsu is Happening. The visit is part of Lunch's Verbal Burlesque mini-tour, featuring New York bassist Tim Dahl and New York drummer Sam Ospovat. Lunch, who in addition to her own solo projects has performed with artists such as Nick Cave, Sonic Youth, and Henry Rollins, is a phenomenal and intense performer who is sure to leave no one indifferent. Other tour dates include May 19th in Tampere and May 22nd at the Validi Karkia club in Pori.
The evening will begin with a duo performance by two bassists, Ville Herrala and Antti Lötjönen. These magicians of low frequencies, who claim to have seen almost everything, will create a fascinating musical journey into the hypnotic world of spacious sound waves.
