Manala Afterwork Jazz is a weekly jazz club in the center of Helsinki. Finland's top musicians perform at the club in a cozy and atmospheric environment. The event is free of charge, so we recommend using the money saved from the admission tickets on the restaurant's legendary pizzas and refreshments!

Welcome to the jazz jam sessions at the sunny terrace of Konepaja Biergarten (Bruno Granholmin kuja 1, 00510 Helsinki) – free entrance!

Each houseband is an unique mixture of UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra’s musicians and other professional jazz musicians, combined with rising start talents from the jazz departments of Sibelius Academy, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and Pop & Jazz Conservatory.

Jazz Jam & Brew is organised by UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra, Konepaja Biergarten, The jazz department of Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki, Metropolia Music and Pop & Jazz Conservatory.

*The Sibelius Academy is the host school of the 2023 IASJ Jazz Meeting (International Association of Schools of Jazz) in Helsinki. About 120 students, teachers, staff, researcher and invited guests from over 20 countries are participating. Performances, workshops, jam sessions, master classes, presentations, discussions.
