Kari Ikonen is known above all as a pianist, moogist and composer of instrumental music, but during his almost 30-year music career he has had time to compose quite a bunch of songs, e.g. to the poems of Saima Harmaja, Lauri Viita and Alice Meynelli. In this unique concert, a selection of Ikonen's songs from different eras will be heard, adapted for the quartet and interpreted by Mia Simanainen!

Koko Jazz Club pays special attention to hygiene issues, and takes care of the auditorium by layout and instructing customers to have adequate safety distances.

Superposition is a new explosive jazz group led by drummer Olavi Louhivuori, who is known from his solo projects, from bands like Oddarrang, Elifantree and Ilmiliekki Quartet plus his inspired work with the likes of Tomasz Stanko. The quartet also features sax players Linda Fredriksson (Mopo) and Adele Sauros (JAF Trio) and bassist Mikael Saastamoinen (OK:KO). Together they create music filled with raw energy, presenting powerful tunes ranging from "fire music" to pastoral and moody soundscapes as witnessed on their debut album released by We Jazz Records. First up on stage is the visionary power trio Katu Kaiku, who habits the borderlands between musical genres, mixing modern jazz with progressive pop elements.
