Jazz Finland Live

Aili Ikonen, one of Finland´s top jazz singers will taking the stage of the April Jazz Club and  performing songs from her latest record Piirrä Minut (Draw Me),  accompanied her long-standing co-performers Mikko Pellinen, Janne Toivonen, William Suvanne, Tuomas J. Turunen ja Mikko Arlin.

Pekka Toivonen (b. 1979) is a Finnish composer, pianist and producer refusing to stick with any yet defined sound of music. Pekka Toivonen Piano Week will spread around the churches of the metropolitan area . All the concerts are unique and featuring a surprise soloist.

F# feat. IVI & LAURA (Finland-Estonia)

One year ago, in November 2017, the Finnish improvisation trio F# performed with Ivi Rausi and Laura Põldvere for a full house at Philly Joe's and in other concerts around Estonia. Their all-improvised music, their virtuoso talents and their beautiful, sometimes touching sometimes funny performance earned them standing ovations from a jubilant audience. This year F# and the singers are re-uniting, presenting the trio's new CD 'The Wannsee Punk' which was recorded in Viljandi during the same visit last year.

This evening at Philly Joe's promises exciting and intense moments with some of the best improvising musicians of both countries.
