Hear the acclaimed drummer-composer Jukkis Uotila show his talent in the piano for a change. The drum kit will tonight be mastered by the American drummer Billy Hart, who has made a significant career with the likes of Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner and Miles Davis. The trinity is completed with the Swedish bassist Anders Jormin. 

Doors open at 6.00pm. Showtime at 7pm.

Tuomas Paukku Description was formed while the Laukaa-born guitarist Tuomas Paukku was studying in Sweden. The band was originally Finno-Swedish but when Paukku returned to Finland, he assembled a new group, Scription, out of young Finnish jazz professionals. Having pianist Artturi Rönkä, bassist Janne Tuovinen and drummer Tomi Saikkonen join the leader-guitarist, Tuomas Paukku Scription takes up where the Swedes left off. The musicians stand in the frontline of a young and vital generation in Finnish jazz, interpreting Paukku's distinctive music with intense passion.

The roots of Paukku's music can be found in the modern European jazz impressionism, but not without seeking new landscapes and dimensions by bending the borders of different musical genres without hesitation.
