Jazz Finland Live

Jazz reached the southern shores of Finland, namely the cities of Viipuri, Kotka and Helsinki, first. Now, as Finland is celebrating the centenary of its independence, the mini festival Jazz Memories will delve into the history of jazz in Pieksämäki. 

The festival will take place at several locations, including Cultural Centre Poleemi, Market Square and the Old Church. There will also be an exhibition hosted by the Music Archive and a host of different talks dealing with the history of jazz in Finland.
