Joonas Haavisto Trio, comprising of pianist Haavisto, bassist Antti Lötjönen and drummer Joonas Riippa display what it means that a jazz trio plays with their strengths and finds new directions for their music together. Their music, as heard on the 2016 album "Oku", swings effortlessly and there's a certain kind of lightness to how the music flows when performed by this trio.

One of Bassoradio's most popular shows, TINGS, celebrates its 3rd birthday. The party will take place at Helsinki's club Siltanen on 20 May.
Hosted by DJ Klaus Wing, TINGS is known for its high profile and exclusive interviews. The guests include Makaya McCraven, Jeff Parker, Marcus Strickland, Joyce Moreno, Robert Glasper, José James, Dj Craze, Imogen Heap, Ed Motta, Kamasi Washington, Thundercat, Josef Leimberg, J. Karjalainen, M.A. Numminen, Olli Ahvenlahti, Heikki Sarmanto & Jimi Tenor. In spring 2017 Jaako Hurme joined Wing as the new co-host.
Music will be selected by both Wing and Hurme and there may be a few special guests dropping in, too.
